From the carrier export: . Cost is the invoiced cost where billed, otherwise the carrier's estimate, plus 10% GST. Bigger dots mean more consignments; colour is the Australia Post zone. Customer names are not included.
What the website charges customers for freight, from the October 2025 shipping sheet. Pick a product size and service; the map colours every postcode by the price a customer sees.

Median carrier cost incl. GST for matched orders of this size that went as one invoice in one shipment, with the cheapest carrier we've used on at least three of them. Same state means the warehouse is in the customer's state.
Prices include GST and are per order, as set in each state's tab of the shipping sheet ("Freight Charges for … Orders"). The destination tab follows the website's postcode list, so a few border towns use the neighbouring state's tab (Queanbeyan uses ACT, Tweed Heads uses QLD, Wentworth uses VIC). "First choice" is the warehouse at the top of the sheet's Source Hierarchy preference list for that state. Click a postcode for every size, both services and delivery times.
Build an order from your products, pick where it's going, and compare what the website charges with what orders like it have cost us to send.
Website charges come from the October 2025 shipping sheet for the order's size (the website's 1–5 score: the highest of longest side, cubic weight at 250 kg/m³ and actual weight, taken from the order's biggest item) and include GST. Carrier costs are not rate-card prices: the rate cards can't be priced without each carrier's postcode zones and surcharges. Instead each carrier's figure is the median that carrier actually charged us (invoiced, or the estimate where not yet billed, plus GST) on past matched orders of the same website size, sent as one shipment from the same warehouse to the same state and Australia Post zone, with the longest item on the same side of 1.05 m and a similar chargeable weight (the greater of weight or cubic × 250). If there aren't at least six, it widens the weight range, then to any destination in that zone, then to any warehouse. Australia Post is ruled out for items over 1.05 m long, 22 kg or 0.25 m³ (its parcel limits). Product sizes, prices and costs come from your product export (20 October 2026).

Postcodes by state
| State | Postcodes | Metro | Outer metro | Regional | Remote (ABS) |
|---|
Australia Post zones come from Australia Post's MyPost Business postcode list: Metro = Capital City (the eight capitals), Outer metro = Major Areas (e.g. Gold Coast, Newcastle, Geelong, Launceston), Regional = Rural (each state's "Outer" postcodes), plus Remote Islands & Locations. Australia Post notes that TAS Other postcodes don't get Zone 1 pricing. Postcode locations and remoteness (ABS Remoteness Areas 2021) come from the Australian Postcodes dataset; each dot sits at the average position of the postcode's suburbs, PO-box and business-only postcodes (rings) are placed at their post office. Remote islands and the Antarctic postcode are drawn in dashed boxes at the map's edge, out of their true position. Australia Post's ranges also include about 800 numbers that aren't real postcodes; those can't be shown. State outlines are simplified from Natural Earth via world-geojson. The ACT sits inside the NSW outline. Warehouses are placed at their suburb's centre, and "postcodes" beside each one counts the postcodes it is closest to in a straight line (road distance will differ).
